About
Dermal fillers are cosmetic injections used to restore facial harmony by reducing or eliminating wrinkles, raising depressions and superficial fines lines, enhancing certain features, and replacing soft-tissue volume loss.
Dermal fillers are used for natural looking results in conjunction with neuromodulators, like Botox, Dysport and Daxxify to contour the jawline/lower face, correct and restore volume loss in the midface/cheek areas, AND treat depressions caused by scars and wrinkles. We MAY also use facial fillers to help balance out asymmetry and deformities.
What to Expect
Using a thin needle, our Aesthetic Nurse Providers inject small amounts of filler under the skin. The needle will pinch or sting, but most people don’t experience much pain during these injections. We have distraction tools, numbing gels and ice to help with any pain. Your Aesthetic Nurse Provider may inject the fillers in several areas depending on what you’ve discussed.
How it Works
You will see an immediate improvement in your appearance after your dermal filler treatment. However, it can take a few days or weeks for the final results to materialize as swelling disappears. This will depend on the specific product used. How long your results last will also depend on the product used, the amount injected and facial areas treated.
Our providers work with all the leading manufacturers to provide you with the best dermal fillers for your needs.
The duration of the filler depends on the type of filler used, the goal of the treatment, and the area(s) injected. For optimal results, additional treatment sessions may be advised.
Dermal Fillers can:
- Hydrate and plump deflated lips
- Soften lip lines
- Restore under eye hollows
- Soften nasolabial folds
- Fill the “marionette” folds from the corners of your mouth to your chin
- Enhance and rebuild volume in the mid-face
- Build beautiful cheekbones
- Elevate a sagging jaw
The most popular dermal filler treatments are lips and contouring the cheeks and jawline to achieve facial harmony.
How to Prepare
- Before your procedure avoid taken medication that thins the blood such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Aleve, Vitamin E, fish oil, ginger, gingko biloba, and green tea, for 7-10 days prior to treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.
- The average length of the cosmetic injections of Dermal Fillers is about 30-60 minutes per session depending on the individual, goal of treatment, and the number of areas being treated.
